A private nature reserve situated approximately 6kms off the west coast of Praslin, Cousine Island offers an exclusive island experience. This 25 hectare granitic island is home to five of the Seychelles endemic birds and is rich in flora and fauna. The island has dramatic land and seascapes and the eastern coast is fringed by a dazzling white sandy beach almost one kilometre long. A conservation officer is available to take guests on guided walks to discover the flora and fauna and explain the island’s conservation philosophy. Between September and January, hawksbill turtles come ashore to lay their eggs and most guests staying 3-4 days during this period should be able to experience this wonderful sight. Only a maximum of 10 guests can be accommodated at any one time in 4 luxurious air-conditioned villas built in the old French colonial style and set in tropical gardens facing the sea. Each spacious villa has a bedroom, separate lounge, bathroom with jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor shower, DVD and VCR sound system and Satellite TV.
